of the risks and hazards in adverse driving conditions; and to provide
defensive driving techniques to reduce the risks and hazards of the driving
conditions.
Unsafe
Driving Behaviors:
Objectives: To identify common unsafe driving behaviors that result in
crashes and violations; to explain how specific conditions may increase
the hazards and risks of these unsafe behaviors; and to explain defensive
driving techniques to reduce the incidence of these unsafe driving behaviors.
Aggressive
Driving:
Objectives: To identify aggressive driver behaviors that result in crashes
and violations; to increase awareness of personal aggressive driving behaviors;
to identify causes of aggressive driving actions;
to identify ways to maintain self-control behind the wheel; to identify
defensive driving techniques to avoid confrontations with aggressive drivers;
and to create a personal plan to maintain control in stressful driving
situations.
This
course is about defensive driving. It’s about developing safe driving
habits and attitudes – improving the way you see and respond to
what happens on the road. It’s also about taking control
over your actions behind the wheel.
Here
you’ll also learn to recognize the situations that result in crashes,
and how to avoid and prevent traffic crashes and violations. You’ll
also learn how to deal with road rage – no matter who has it.
